Furnace and AC Service in Aurora, CO

Aurora is where EMS started running handyman vans in 2018, and southeast Aurora is still our busiest HVAC territory. Southlands, Saddle Rock and Tallyn’s Reach are 1990s and 2000s two-stories with builder-grade 80% furnaces past 20 years old. Heather Gardens brings older patio homes and tight closets, Murphy Creek and Beacon Point bring warranty-period service, and Xcel electrification rebates make Aurora our top heat pump conversion market.

AURORA HVAC QUESTIONS

Costs, rebates and timing in Aurora.

Colorado furnace cost guide →
MOST ASKED

How much does a new furnace cost in Aurora?

Most furnace replacements in Aurora run $4,800 to $9,500 installed, and a full furnace and AC system $8,800 to $18,000, depending on home size and efficiency. EMS gives an upfront price at a free in-home visit, and next-day installs are available.

Southlands-area two-stories usually need an 80,000 to 100,000 BTU furnace and a 3- to 4-ton AC. Older Heather Gardens ranches are smaller and often come in at the low end. Xcel rebates come off these numbers.

QUESTION

Do you offer same-day furnace repair in Aurora?

Yes. Our Denver office dispatches to Aurora every day, same-day appointments are available, and no-heat calls get a technician on site within 4 hours.

Trucks are stocked with ignitors, flame sensors, capacitors and blower motors for the brands common in Aurora homes, so 91% of repairs are finished on the first visit.

QUESTION

Which rebates can Aurora homeowners get?

Aurora is served by Xcel Energy for gas and electric, so homeowners qualify for Xcel furnace, AC and heat pump rebates. EMS files the Xcel paperwork for you.

Rebate amounts change each season; current figures are listed in the Quick Facts table above and confirmed on your estimate.

QUESTION

How often should a furnace be serviced along the Front Range?

Once a year, before the heating season. Front Range furnaces run six to seven months a year, longer than most of the country, so annual service catches cracked heat exchangers and failing parts early.

Every tune-up includes a carbon monoxide test.
