AIR CONDITIONING Q&A
Straight answers before you call.
Can't find yours? Our full Q&A covers 60+ topics, or talk to a real person 24/7.
Why is my AC running but not cooling?
Usually a dirty filter, a failed capacitor, low refrigerant from a leak or a dirty condenser coil. Check the filter and breaker first, then call us.
How long should an AC unit last?
Most central AC systems last 12 to 15 years. In Texas heat, 10 to 12 is more typical without yearly maintenance.
Do you just add refrigerant?
No. Refrigerant doesn't get used up. If it's low there's a leak, and we find and fix it so you aren't paying for a recharge every summer.
How much does AC repair cost?
Most repairs fall between $180 and $650. You approve a flat price before any work begins.
